This is the illustration I made for Light Grey Art Labs “Rolemodels” show, which opens this Friday!
The task was to invent a character, that is based on our own person.
So here it is: Furunkel, the Flying Chiseler
"Furunkel can move without a sound. He is part cat, with nine lives, a taste for fish, and a keen sense of curiosity. He roams the world with his faithful fellows, Lucy the cat and Kevin his riding animal, as they search for various treasures, including information about his true origins."
My illustration comes in a card game called "The Battle for Vyk’ Tornaahl" with illustrations of a lot of other amazing artists and is also available as an art print here.
As always it was a big pleasure to be part of one of LGALs fantastic artshows again.
LGAL’s card game “The Battle of Vyk’ Tornaahl” is now up for pre-sale! Additionally to the deck there will be a Rolemodels art show at Light Grey Art Lab in October with a lot of amazing artists. You can check them out at the link above.
The card game includes work by 99 international artists, 95 character portraits, as well as four kingdom cards, an information-card, and a 100 page guidebook including character information, stats, portraits, and the lore of Vyk’ Tornaahl.
It’s just $25 and you can pre-order it and find more information here!
I uploaded some sketches and preview pics of my card. It’s a really cool project and I’m very happy to be in it.
This is an illustration I made for the Geek-Art Game of Thrones art show celebrating the start of the third season. It opened in Paris at the Dernier Bar Avant la Fin du Mond last week.
For people who didn’t read the book by now, beware of spoilers. I included many details of persons and events that are going to happen in the third book of “A Song of Ice and Fire” and probably also in the third season (who knows?).
I’m a big fan of the books and the show and it was a lot of fun to make an illustration about it finally.
